They're expecting about 1 million people in New York Times Square on Tuesday, with temperatures expected to be in the 30's when the NYE ball drops. When I watch on TV, I can't help but imagine how people, not only deal with the cold weather, but can be out in that huge crowd for hours, and need to use the bathroom. What do they do? Wear a diaper? Use a container, like on 'Dumb & Dumber'? The obvious assumption is that you can have someone hold your spot, and excuse yourself to the many portable toilets, but nope. According to the Times Square FAQ page, there are none. 😳 In fact, if you leave the pen area, surrounded by fencing, you are not permitted to return. Oh my. I don't think I'll ever watch the celebration the same. Now I'll be rooting for all of those people to hold tight...literally, and feel lucky that I can go to the bathroom during commercial breaks.
