For those who are bummed that their Coachella plans have been disrupted, can sit back and learn the history of this event. Hard to believe that the first one was back in 1999, and wasn't as simple as announcing a lineup, and throwing a concert.
On April 10th, YouTube will stream an original called 'Coachella: 20 Years In The Desert', which will show the struggles to get the festival off the ground, and all that has gone into making it a major part of pop culture today. Entertainment Tonight has more info on the special, set for this Friday.
It's really fun to scroll through and see the lineups, and even the change in ticket prices, since the first one in '99, which Hybeast.com has compiled.
