The Los Angeles Dodgers will host Opening Week presented by Bank of America starting Friday, which will be highlighted by special ceremonies throughout the three-game weekend series vs. Washington. The club will also take on the Rockies for three games Tuesday (April 13), Wednesday (April 14) and Thursday (April 15), when the Dodgers will join Major League Baseball in celebrating Jackie Robinson Day.
The weekend series vs. Washington will include Dodger players and coaches receiving their 2020 World Series rings and raising their championship banner on Friday (1:10 p.m. game), a tribute to Tommy Lasorda during pregame Saturday (6:10 p.m.) and honoring the 40th anniversary of Fernandomania on Sunday (1:10 p.m.). On Opening Day, stadium and auto gates will open at 10:30 a.m., and fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 11:45 a.m. for pre-game ceremonies. Opening Day pregame ceremonies will be televised exclusively in their entirety on Spectrum SportsNet LA, carried live on radio on AM 570 LA Sports and AM 1020 (Spanish) and streamed in HD on the free iHeartRadio app (search AM 570 LA Sports). For all other games, parking lots will open 1.5 hours prior to the game and stadium gates will open one hour before first pitch.
Tickets for April games are available at Dodgers.com/Tickets and fans are also encouraged to check availability on the Dodgers’ trusted secondary market partner StubHub. Fans should also visit the Dodgers’ Fan Safety Portal at Dodgers.com/FanSafety to learn more about the club’s policies and procedures for the start of the 2021 season.
Continuing in the tradition of recent World Series Champions, the Dodgers will wear special-edition Nike jerseys and New Era caps April 9-11, featuring gold-outlined logos, a World Series champions patch and a gold “VII” on the sleeve in recognition of the franchise’s seven championships. The jerseys and caps will go on sale exclusively at Dodger Stadium, Dodgers Clubhouse stores throughout Los Angeles and Dodgers.com starting on April 9 at 12:00 p.m. before a broader release on Monday, April 12. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation will host a charity auction featuring a set of the special edition game-worn jerseys on dodgers.com/auctions. Net proceeds will benefit Baby2Baby and help provide 10,000 emergency COVID-19 care kits to children living in overcrowded conditions or experiencing homelessness.
