These pets along with a ton of other amazing pets at Muttville Senior Dog Rescue who deserve a great forever home!
Meet Jolly:
Jumpin Jolly look who we have in store for you today! This sweet handsome boy is such a delight. He has the flippity floppity terrier ears and the scruff that is cuddle-tastic! Jolly is a friend to everyone including cats. He gets excited about walks and enjoys play time. His main objective is to put a smile on everyone’s face. The joy he will bring to your home is astounding. Just try and hide the jovial smirk on your face when you meet them.
Meet Rancher:
His name may sound a bit country bumpkin but boy does Rancher take California dreamin to the extreme. You will likely find him chillin on the beach in his board shorts with a white claw in his paw listening to his beats by Dre. Buzzing with a mix of songs anywhere from the beatles, to sublime and ending with Too Short. He definitely knows how to have a good time and just go with the flow. If you like to have fun and live a carefree life, this is the guy you need to hang around! Bonded with Jolly.
Meet Petunia:
One of the most popular flowering annuals.. Wait we mean animals. One of the most popular animals at Muttville. Petunia is part dog, part mouse, part piglet and lets not forget part elephant. A hodgepodge of species wrapped up into one adorable potato body! Her pink nose, cute overbite, and ginormous ears places this gal at the top of the most desirable list. She is so so rare and one of a kind!
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Personality:
- Food motivated!
- Very easy to train with the right motivation (furniture privileges, lap privileges, cheese)
- She’s really a flirt! she pretends to be shy, especially with new men, but then loves on everyone the minute she gets attention.
- Learns fast, you show her something a couple times and she picks up on it right away
- Knows how to use stairs to get on and off furniture
- Figured out how to get the dog gate out of the door frame
- Can defeat zippers if they’re in reach or she can get a nose in
- Great with other dogs
- Enjoys short walks, slows down after a block
- Stairs are okay, but takes a little time go to down the stairs. Going up the stairs is fine.
- Loves sleeping the day away :)
- Cuddles and snuggles!
- Her excited head shake spin thing, and then she’ll moonwalk!
Training:
- “Wiggle” for the cute nose head spin thing!
- “Moonwalks” when excited!
High Value
- Cheese (Cheddar, but test other cheeses!)
- Butter
- Treats
Meet Squid:
Squid is the coolest dude in SF, often seen cruising down the streets on his skateboard, bustin out sick tricks to impress the ladies. His four legs help to increase speed, and his fluff gives him more bounce to the ounce. Let’s not forget those ears! Boy are they floppy! Better to catch air with. Every day he stops at the local juice bar and buys his favorite fresh pressed carrot and ginger juice for health benefits and to keep his Puggle figure. On his way back to the pad he makes sure to high five everyone he sees. Squid is the most friendliest guy and he can’t wait to meet you!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Squid is a calm dog who enjoys periodic walks in the neighborhood. He can easily and quietly be left alone for a few hours, but when you come home, expect him to wake up and follow you around your residence. Friendly with neighborhood dogs, Squid enjoys getting his head and neck scratched. Squid ignores cats…he probably sleeps more than my cat! Squid is well housetrained. Squid periodically enjoys playing catch with a stuffy toy.
Meet Nora Noodle:
We know you are familiar with many different Noodles. Long Noodles, shell Noodles, poodle Noodles, Noodles full of cheese… the list goes on. But have you ever met a Nora Noodle? This particular Noodle is long, chunky, sweet, and can, in some cases, be full of cheese. How could you possibly need anything more from such a perfect Noodle?
Here’s a note from her foster:
Nora Noodle is as delicious as my favorite pasta dish! She’s super mellow, loves getting good scratches, and enjoys hanging out with us whether we are working in the yard, watching tv, or going for car rides. She’s housebroken, though she does leak a tiny bit of pee, so we put washable diapers on her when she’s on the couch and she has no problem wearing them at all! She’s crate trained and mostly ignores our large, mellow male dog. She’s completely unperturbed by our chickens, and though she’s been very interested in our little dogs, she moves too slow to get near them, and they aren’t particularly friendly, so we aren’t sure how she would be with them or cats. She doesn’t walk much, doesn’t do well on stairs (though she tries) and really just wants to hang out and binge watch the last two seasons of Bridgerton, followed by all the past seasons (and the movie) of Downton Abbey. She’d be a very easy apartment dog with a small patio, or grand British estate pampered pooch with a butler to carry her around, she’s not picky.
Tune into Marcus & Sandy every Friday to meet another cat or dog that could be your family's next pet.
