Meet Stephen:

Hi! I'm Stephen! I am a sweet boy looking for a forever home! I was found by a nice Samaritan in Oakland that saw someone throw me out of the car. I was terrified and scared, but now I'm doing amazing in foster! I have a doggie friend who is also looking for a home. I'm still a bit shy, but open up fairly quickly! My foster dad says he's so impressed at how awesome I'm doing. If you have patience and love you'll love me!!! I love other dogs too! all sizes ?? WOO!

Meet Max:

Scruffy sweet Max has fun and love to share! Would you like to be his forever?

With the face of a terrier and the coloring of a border collie, weighing in around 50 pounds, we're not sure what delightful breeds comprise Max. We do know he really likes people and is pretty delighted to meet each new face. He even rushes up to push his head into a harness, how helpful!

Speaking of harnesses, it's a good thing he likes them because he gets overly excited and when he sees another dog while he's on leash. This common behavior is what we call "leash frustration" and Max is a classic example: When leashed, he pulls and barks when he sees another dog. But when the leashes are off and he's introduced properly to a dog he jumps into play. Talk with our adoptions team about how best to manage and improve this behavior.

Max lived with other dogs in the past and we think he would be able to have another canine in his new home.

Meet Pop:

Siblings Pop and Corn landed at Hopalong as kittens that were quite frightened and feral. Over time, they've definitely blossomed and turned into beautiful young adults. Pop is shy but definitely likes to be around people. Corn (tortie) is stll very shy though but likes to watch people from a safe distance. They're both adorable together and very sweet and would be suited for a home that is not expecting lap kitties. Over time, with some trust building in an experienced kitty home, we think they will still be excellent indoor companions. Corn would benefit from being adopted with Pop, but could potentially be adopted separately. They havn't been exposed to young children or dogs but have been around other kitties. We would not recommend them for a home with young children given their shy natures. They are in Oakland and Hopalong would be happy to speak to you more about them!

Meet Gunther:

Gunther is approximately 11 months old and is a domestic short hair cross. This guy is looking for a loving home and we hope that's with you!

Listen to Marcus and Corey every Friday to meet more adoptable pets!
