Check out these pets along with a ton of other amazing pets from Hopalong who deserve a great forever home!
Hi! My name is Maka. I'm a great boy looking for a new home!
I am very obedient and calm. I'm really dog social, great with people, and love to please. I already know how to sit, stay, and lay down. I go to the bathroom in the outside yard, but I prefer to do my business when on a walk.
I do not jump up when it's time to eat, but instead wait patiently until I'm told to eat. I do not hoard food and am a slow eater. While I do have my favorite foods, I will eat anything. I do protect the home and I will let you know when strangers arrive but will relax when you tell me it's ok.
Some of my favorite things to do are going for walks and lying in the sun. My foster sometimes works in the backyard, and I just hang out next to him. The transition from having a family to being a foster is a little tough and sometimes I just want to cuddle, but with a good home I know I will be ok.
If you're looking for a family oriented, loving, and loyal dog I am right here.
My name is April! I'm a very shy girl! But very sweet with humans! And I love dogs that are the right match for me! I'm currently at Happy Hound Doggie daycare going through training and everyone says I'm doing amazing! I have some fear and working on my confidence! I need an experienced and patient person! Someone who can continue with my training! I love to lay on your lap, go on walks, but certain people do give me fear so I hope to continue growing and being more comfortable! I play in playgroups with dogs and I am pretty vocal when I play! Hope you ask for me! I'm about 60lbs, came to Oakland shelter as a stray and Happy Hound has been fostering me for 7 months. I'm ready for a couch and a home I can call my own. I am best in a home with no cats! I've never met them so unsure how I would react. Happy Hound will continue to help with her training.
From my time in foster...
Chicken is super affectionate and sweet. She loves being pet and will flop on her back to put herself in prime position for belly rubs. She will also happily sit on your lap and just likes to be close. She was very meow-y the first day/night but after that settled down. Still she's chatty and will let you know she wants more love and affection.
(I'm in the East Bay, if you're interested in meeting with me, please start by completing a Pets & People profile form on the "How to Adopt" page of the Marin Humane site.)
Jacinta is a super sweet young gal looking for hew new BFF! She is very playful and loves petting. She will make a wonderful feline companion in a home with our without another cat or gentle dog.
