Meet Pets From Hopalong Animal Rescue For Todays Furry Fridays!

These pets along with a ton of other amazing pets at Hopalong Animal Rescue who deserve a great forever home!

Meet Tomasso:

Tomasso is a suave, gentlemanly cat that is seeking his new BFF and forever family! We were considering renaming him McLovin - he craves as much as love and pets as you can give him! He is quite charming, is quite interactive and loves to be groomed and can be persistent in his need for adoration and attention. He has gotten along with cats in the past, but is not fan of dogs. He is recommended to go on a diet to slim down some but is otherwise in good shape for his middle years.

Meet King:

(I'm being fostered in the East Bay)

Hi! My name is King. I'm a very handsome boy looking for a new home! I came to Marine Humane because my first family could no longer keep me due to a housing situation.

I am 7 years old, and a good deal trained. I know how to sit, stay, lie down, and shake. Even though I love to eat, I do not hoard food. I will sit patiently while you prepare my food and my foster brother and I eat close to each other. I am crate trained and will let you know with gentle whines when I need to go potty.

I have only had one family since I was a pup. My first family were of the older human age and could only take me on walks, but no parks. I did meet other dogs during walks, but it was only nose-to-nose, no play time. Because I have had little interaction with other dogs I am still learning how to socialize.

My foster brother is showing me how to respect dog boundaries. I still do not totally understand boundaries and that can be rough on other animals that like their space or are smaller than me. My foster father has to gently introduce me to new foods but once I know it is food I will eat anything. I recently discovered peanut butter and I am still learning how to get treats from a kong toy. Right now, everything seems new to me, and I get very excited. But once I get familiar, I like to just lie down and relax.

Because a lot of things are still new, I don't always know how to react. I get very excited and this can be difficult for some. I know I look big and can be too rough sometimes, but I just want to show love. I know with patience and care I will be the best dog for you.

Meet Lacey:

We've got a bit of a wild and beautiful girl who is full of beans and looking for her new, adoptive home! Lacie is quite the character and a big personality! She loves to play, is often climbing to high places, and needs a lot of room to run around. She is eight and a half months old, and has been indoor only so far. If you live in a safe place away from cars and coyotes, she would probably be happiest to be indoor / outdoor with all of her energy.

We would LOVE to find her a home with a cat-friendly dog as she loves to wrestle and play hard. She currently loves hanging out with the dogs in our office, and plunks herself down right next to them. We recommend a home without other cats or children of any age as she can play roughly and is known to pummel other cats. A big dog buddy would be perfect for her!

Help us spread the word regarding this gorgeous gal! She is very entertaining and ready for her forever home!

Meet Pia:

Hi! Meet Pia! This super sweet pitbull looking for a forever home! She's currently being fostered at Happy Hound Doggie Daycare and getting so much training and exposure to everything. She gets to play in playgroup daily! Her infatuation with other dogs is so big, she gets overwhelmed with excitement, and we have to teach her to be chill! She came to the Oakland shelter completely shut down, after some time she opened up and blossomed so much! Now she greets everyone in site and loves to romp around! She's young at about 1 yr old and yas so much love to give.

She would benefit in an experienced home, someone that can keep up her energy and keep her socialized, but also know she still is a work in progressive! If you'd like to learn more about her, contact us and we'd love to have you meet her.

Tune into Marcus & Corey every Friday to meet more animals that could be your family's next pet
