A new bill, being presented by 2 US senators...is pushing for automakers to make sure ALL NEW CARS will have technology to stop anyone over the legal drinking limit, from driving.
The 'Reduce Impaired Driving for Everyone' ACT...known also as the RIDE Act, would fund research for alcohol detection technology...that could determine a person's blood alcohol level, by simply touching the steering wheel or pressing the engine start button.
The MADD organization says it could 'save 7,000 lives a year'. I STILL CANT BELIEVE with services as easy andconvenient and AFFORDABLE as Uber and Lyft ...I'm STILL waking up to HORRIBLE death news of drunk drivers killing people EVERY WEEKEND NIGHT all over Southern California ;/ AWFUL! Criminal!
