During the pandemic, Starbucks suspended its use of reusable cu[s as a safety precaution. Starting on June 22nd, reusable cups will be allowed in Starbucks shops again but it will look a little different!
Their plan is to reduce single-use cups when possible and they are also bringing back the promotion that offers customers $.10 cents off their drink when it's served in a reusable cup.
For now, their new plan will only launch in-store only and accepts clean cups from customers. They will plane their cup in a ceramic mug and keep their lid. The baristas will pour the drink in the reusable cup, only touching the ceramic mug before handing it back to the customers.
