Instagram is currently testing the ability to hide like counts on posts to help social media anxiety.
The idea has come with mixed reviews, especially for influencers who like to see the count or depend on it for business with brands. Instagram says that they will only be testing a small percentage of its global community at first and hopes that it will keep people from experiencing "FOMO." A user will be able to choose their own experience, they can hide likes from their posts and others or can choose to continue to see likes.
