BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) has recently unveiled five anime mascots that aim to promote the use of public transportation, especially among younger riders. Drawing inspiration from successful anime mascots used by public transportation agencies in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, BART has created these characters to act as relatable ambassadors for public transportation.
This weekend at FanimeCon, an animation convention taking place at the McEnery Convention Center in downtown San Jose, the characters are gearing up for their much-anticipated official debut. BART will be hosting a dedicated table at the convention, showcasing a variety of BART-themed anime merchandise and other exciting items for attendees to enjoy.
