By now, most of us have heard that Ariana Grande will not be attending this year's Grammys amongst reported disagreements with the show's producers. What's new is that it turns out she is saying the show's producer, Ken Ehrlich, is lying to press about why she won't be there. It was reported that Ken and other producers didn't want her to perform her new single "7 Rings" and also wanted to control what other songs she performed as a part of a melody. Ariana is a super creative and talented artist, so she was obviously upset about what they were proposing.
Since none of us were there, we don't know how it exactly went down, but after seeing these posts from Ari, We have a pretty good idea of what really happened...
In the tweet below Ariana states:
"i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more."
It's sad to us that the producers wouldn't let Ariana be her creative, ridiculously talented self. We'll still watch the Grammys of course, but we will definitely be missing Ariana Grande!!
PS, her new album "Thank U, Next" was released today (Feb. 8, 2019) and it's AMAZING!!
