Starr Gardy pulled into the parking lot of a Walmart in South Carolina and saw a car with a message that a young man was in need of a kidney and was searching for a donor. It moved her, and she couldn’t get it out of her head. She went through testing and found out she could donate one of her kidneys to the man in need, 24-year-old Daniel Jones.
The transplant surgery was a success and now both Jones and Gardy are recovering. While the donor usually remains anonymous, their families met in the hospital waiting room...
