This makes so much sense!
A change.org petition has 63,000 signatures and growing to change the date Halloween occurs from October 31st, to the last Saturday of October. This year, Halloween falls on a Thursday, and the petition site makes some good points about when Halloween falls on a weeknight. It's more dangerous for children because they are more likely to trick or treat alone, and millennials are not able to full enjoy the holiday because they have to go to work the next day.
