Check Out The Meteor That Streaked Over Missouri This Week!

We are OBSESSED with anything celestial on this show and this streaking meteor does NOT disappoint! I would DIE to see something like this live. Scientists say it measured about 5 feet across, weighed about 220 pounds, and it could also be seen in Illinois and across the Midwest in eight different states. Traveling at about 44,000 miles an hour, 90 percent of the meteor likely burnt up in the atmosphere but there is thought that some if it landed around Wellsville, Missouri. Because it was traveling much faster than the speed of sound, there was a sonic boom when it entered the atmosphere followed by a flash of light. SO cool! Check out this sweet video.
