As you know, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson mentioned earlier this week they tested positive for the Coronavirus. Today, he posted a new selfie with his wife that I'm really glad he posted. He mentioned they were isolated so they couldn't pass it to anyone else, and they're also taking it one day at a time. He said, "Remember, despite all events, there's no crying in baseball."
I liked this specifically because people NEED to see photos of people smiling. Recovering. Living the best life they can, despite the situation. I talked to one of our listeners today, Mercy, who had a week long "surprise" trip to Disneyland with her family. Since Disneyland is now closed for 2 weeks, they are going camping in the mountains instead.
It doesn't change the seriousness of the situation, but it does help know people are STILL out their living life, smiling, going out and to restaurants, being with family, etc. We need to change the narrative of mass hysteria/paranoia to preparedness, gratitude, surviving, sharing moments of love and happiness on social media. It WILL make a difference..
