If you owned an Apple iPhone in the past, there is a good chance Apple owes you money as part of their settlement over the so called "battery-gate".
A while ago Apple owned up to deliberately slowing down iPhones as they grew older. Their excuse was that it preserves battery life, but people were pissed. The company has agreed to pay out up to $500 million to it's iPhone users. This should be about $25 per person.
Who qualifies? Anyone who ever owned these phones: iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, or an iPhone SE that ran iOS 10.2.1 or later before December 21, 2017. Also, users of iPhone 7 or 7 Plus that ran iOS 11.2 or later before December 21, 2017 qualify as well.
Here's what to do. Go to THE SETTLEMENT WEBSITE and enter the serial number of the old phone. Don't have that? It's OK! Just enter your Apple ID, name, and address.
You have to register by October 6th to get the money.
