Disneyland could be getting much much bigger in the coming years.
As the April 30th reopening date at the park comes closer, Disney announced this week they are eyeing a major expansion that will grow the footprint of both Disneyland and California Adventure.
The plans are pending approval with the city of Anaheim as part of the company's DisneylandForward initiate.
Disneyland Resort is asking for "more flexibility within our existing properties" to develop new experiences for guests from rides and attractions to dining and hotels, according to the DisneylandForward website.
Checkout the Disneyland Forward website here and you will see a map that will basically add another new theme park across the street, and is described as a "possible immersive theme park" that could include "hotel, retail, dining and entertainment"
